Ontem, 29 de janeiro, comemorava-se um dia que poucos de nós conhecemos: O Dia da Hospitalidade
A palavra hospitalidade é comum entre nós, mas sabemos ser hospitaleiros em nosso dia a dia? Sabemos o que é ser hospitaleiro?
A cultura brasileira é famosa nesse quesito. Temos o costume de recebermos as pessoas com aquele sorriso largo no rosto e cumprimentarmos uns aos outros com apertos de mãos firmes, com abraços e até beijos no rosto.
Quando recebemos pessoas em casa (amigos e familiares) a hospitalidade é ainda maior. Queremos que elas se sintam bem, à vontade, tranquilas e confortáveis. Tanto que costumamos oferecer aquele famoso cafezinho, com algum acompanhamento, ou com uma mesa repleta de aperitivos.
Não nos damos conta, mas até com familiares que moram na mesma casa somos hospitaleiros. O simples fato de montar a mesa de café da manhã, cozinhar, servir um vinho, são fortes provas de hospitalidade!
Esses exemplos mostram que a hospitalidade em si é muito ampla e pode ser exercida nos mais diversos contextos. O ramo hoteleiro é outro bom exemplo, pois se trata de uma transação comercial em que o hotel oferece serviços diversos para os hóspedes tentando agradá-los ao máximo, desde o momento que chegam até o partir.
O mesmo acontece no mundo dos negócios. Ao visitar uma empresa, todo mínimo detalhe tem grande relevância, tanto de quem recebe, quanto de quem será recebido.

Nos tempos antigos, por exemplo, quando os gregos recebiam com benevolência os estrangeiros em suas terras, davam de beber e de comer aos visitantes.

A própria origem do termo hospitalidade tem a ver com essa tradição, pois a palavra é derivada de “hospice”, uma habitação medieval reservada para o repouso de viajantes.
Do latim “hospitalitate”, a noção de hospitalidade traduz-se como o ato de acolher, hospedar; a qualidade do hospitaleiro; boa acolhida; recepção; tratamento afável, cortês, amabilidade; gentileza.
Em seu livro ‘Saber Cuidar’ (2005), o escritor, teólogo, filósofo e professor Leonardo Boff demonstra que a hospitalidade é a sensibilidade, capacidade de identificar no outro suas necessidades. Evidenciando a compaixão, que se resume em esquecer de si mesmo e cuidar, preocupar-se com o outro.
A data de ontem é pouco conhecida por boa parte das pessoas, mas acredito que os cuidados em ser hospitaleiro está incutido na maioria de nós.
