Segundo levantamento realizado pelo Sebrae (Serviço Brasileiro de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas), mais de 600 mil pequenas empresas fecharam as portas em 2020 em razão dos efeitos econômicos da pandemia do novo coronavírus, que assola o mundo todo há três meses. Em meio a todas as dificuldades que os empreendedores enfrentam, alguns que já possuíam consultoria empresarial na cidade de Sorocaba conseguiram manter o empreendimento através de um curso chamado Money Club, ministrado por Hermenegildo Cavalcanti – Executivo da Microsoft e consultor empresarial.
Foi o caso do empresário Marinho Galvão, que trabalha no ramo de pneus, na cidade de Salto de Pirapora. Ele é grato por, em meio a pandemia, conseguir manter o controle e saber quais atitudes tomar para que seu comércio permanecesse aberto. O mesmo aconteceu com a empresa de crepes da empreendedora Teresa Cristina, que aplicou as ferramentas do Money Club e conseguiu gerenciar seu negócio de maneira que ele continuasse a crescer, enquanto muitas outras portas se fechavam na cidade.
