A Mercedes-Benz uniu-se a Cruz Vermelha Brasileira em mais uma missão de ajuda humanitária. Através de uma parceria com a empresa, a CVB recebeu dois ônibus para a campanha nacional de vacinação, cerca de 400 pessoas poderão ser vacinadas por dia contra à COVID-19. A parceria conta com apoio financeiro do Ministério Federal de Cooperação Econômica e Desenvolvimento da Alemanha (BMZ), via DEG/KfW e Câmara Brasil-Alemanha (AHK).
Os dois veículos foram cedidos em regime de comodato, um modelo rodoviário O-500 R e um urbano OF-1519, foram transformados em unidades móveis de vacinação e irão percorrer por vários estados para aumentar a capilaridade do atendimento e levar imunização especialmente a populações vulneráveis, apoiados também por uma Van Mercedes-Benz, de 8 lugares, que será utilizada pelas equipes da CVB durante todas as etapas do projeto.
A CVB já está atuando na campanha nacional de vacinação contribuindo com o Plano Nacional de Imunização do Ministério da Saúde. Os ônibus chegam para dar mais mobilidade e fazer com que a ajuda humanitária chegue nos lugares mais distantes do país. Entre as atividades desenvolvidas pela instituição, além da vacinação estão previstos a realização de testes rápidos contra a COVID-19, imunização contra a gripe, apoio psicossocial e iniciativas de prevenção e promoção da saúde e de enfrentamento à pandemia do coronavírus.
O ônibus rodoviário cedido pela Mercedes-Benz será utilizado no chamado Circuito Nordeste, que seguirá por Maceió (AL), Natal (RN), Fortaleza (CE) e São Luís (MA), num total de 4.350 km. A previsão é que sejam atendidos cerca de 30.000 beneficiários por ano em todas as atividades realizadas nos ônibus, com envolvimento de 22 voluntários da CVB por dia.
O Circuito Norte será cumprido pelo ônibus urbano, passando por Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Belo Horizonte (MG), Campo Grande (MS), Brasília (DF), Cuiabá (MT), Porto Velho (RO) e Rio Branco (AC), num total de 6.570 km. Previsão de 18.000 beneficiários por ano, com 14 voluntários por dia.

Através dessa parceria tão importante da Cruz Vermelha Brasileira com a Mercedes-Benz, conseguiremos levar a ajuda humanitária aos locais mais distantes do nosso país, atenuando o sofrimento daqueles que mais precisam.
